Leaders' Retreat
17th-19th June 2008

It was GREAT! Had loads of fun at Games planned by the Games Committee(Shane, Joel and Mark) and just chilling out playing Bridge for hours with the Bridge Jie Meis(Charity, Rachel and Linda) and Pastor Pacer, Emerald, Renqi, Salome and Vinnie. On the first night the Bridge Jie Meis played Bridge from 11pm all the way till 4am. Haha it was so much fun! Most of us learnt it on tuesday itself and over the hours we became better at the game though not as good as Emerald, Pastor Pacer and Salome. Still crafting our skills! And the craze of Bridge didn't left us when we woke up a few hours later as we continued playing Bridge over breakfast and after the night programme(BBQ & service) on wednesday for hours till 3 plus in the morning. Hahaha can't get enough of Bridge!

In case you think it was all about our own rest and relax we(leaders) went through a leadership workshop on the first night conducted by John Teen. The workshop aim to let us discover our leadership style and function and to know what type of leaders can complement us vice versa. To find that out, we had to do lots of questionaire. At the end of it all my results show that my primary leadership style is "Let me help you" and secondary leadership style is "Let's get together", my primary leadership function is "Values Keeper". John said it's good if co-leaders can complement each other on the leadership function and by the results it looks like it is so for my case. Haha..Then again this is just a test..may not be that accurate. =)

Alvin became high on the last day and was in Army mode, taking the guitar as his rifle, he scaled the hill...

And he happily marched downhill.
